The real story: one office, one trade
Downtown Door Repair and Security Intercoms is based at 232 Leonard St in Williamsburg. Brownstone Brooklyn shaped the trade: rekeying and restoring locks on landmarked doors, getting pre-war buzzer and intercom systems working again, and securing co-ops and small storefronts. Locksmith, intercom, and access-control work is the core of what we do; door repair is the supporting craft that makes those installs hold up.
Today everything runs out of the Williamsburg office — locksmith-led, with door supply and installation and security-system work alongside. One office, one crew: keys cut and cylinders pinned on our own machines, locks and hardware from stock, and full building access-control systems planned and installed.
We serve two very different kinds of clients with the same crew: homeowners and businesses who need something secured quickly and correctly, and institutional clients — schools, hospitals, municipal facilities — who need a licensed, insured vendor (NYC DCWP #2109597) with the paperwork and process for public projects.
